HIGH POINT, N.C. –
Cedric Henderson, Jr. scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Campbell held High Point to 28 percent shooting Saturday in a 60-42 win at the Qubein Center.
Campbell set a school record for fewest points allowed in a Big South Conference regular season game. The Camels broke the old mark of 44 points scored by UNC Asheville on Feb. 14, 1994 in a 45-44 CU win at the Justice Center.
Jordan Whitfield added all 10 of hits points in the second half, while Jesus Carralero finished with eight points, six rebounds, five assists and no turnovers for the Camels (14-9, 7-5), who swept the season series from their closest Big South rival.

Ricky Clemons hounded John-Michael Wright into a 3-of-8 shooting performance and held the Big South's leading scorer to a season-low eight points. Emmanuel Izunabor was the lone Panther to reach double figures with 10 points. Zack Austin finished with points – 10 below his season average (14.4) – but led all rebounders with 11.
High Point (11-14, 5-6) hit just 14-of-50 shots overall, 1-of-15 from 3-point range against the Camels, who entered the game ranked first in the league – 23rd in the country – in scoring defense (62.2).
Six different Camels scored at least six points and CU finished with a 41-35 edge on the boards, led by Henderson and
Austin McCullough, who pulled down a career-high 8 boards.
High Point led 11-6 after Jaden House's floater with 11:49 left in the opening half, but the Panthers missed their next 10 shots. CU reeled off a 16-2 run in the meantime and led 25-19 at the break. After the Camels stretched the lead to double digits only once in the final 10 minutes did the Panthers cut the lead to nine – on Bryant Randleman's free throws with 6:22 to play.
Campbell finished the night 21-of-52 (.404) from the floor, made 5-of-23 threes and 13-of-23 from the line to win for the fifth time in the last seven.
- Campbell is 4-6 on the road this season, 2-3 at league foes. High Point is 9-4 at home in its first season in the 4,200-seat Qubein Center, 4-1 vs. Big South teams.
- Campbell stands 5-1 vs. Big South Conference North Division opponents - the lone loss coming Jan. 19 at league leader Longwood (64-72).
- The Camels travel to Radford Wednesday (6:30).
- Saturday's win was the third-straight in the series for CU, which has claimed four of the last five contests with High Point.
