BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Taya Bolden scored 17 points to lead Campbell to a 63-52 win over Charleston Southern Saturday at Gore Arena.
Christabel Ezumah added 12 points while Shy Tuelle and Brittany Staves added 11 for Campbell (18-5, 12-2), who pulled away after a 10-0 run late in the first quarter.
Bolden made 6-of-11 shots from the floor and added eight boards for the Camels who made 49.0 percent of their shots (25-51).
Sharita Godfrey led Charleston Southern (2-21, 2-10) with 16 points and eight boards while Tori Gittens and Skylar Baltezegar added 12 each.
After leading by as many as 17, the Buccaneers cut their deficit to six late in the third quarter thanks in part to a 7-0 run. The Camels answered behind two layups from Ezumah followed by an and-one bucket from Staves to extend their lead back to double-figures.
Campbell, which led for more than 38 minutes, finished with a 34-20 edge in points in the paint and scored 17 points off of 20 Charleston Southern turnovers.
CU returns to action Tuesday for its final road game of the regular season in a 7:00 p.m. tip-off at Hampton.
