FARMVILLE, Va. - Campbell remained on top of the Big South standings after defeating Longwood 58-45 Saturday at Willett Hall.
Luana Serranho led first-place Campbell (16-5, 10-2) with 18 points while Brittany Staves added 13.
Taya Bolden set the Campbell program record for rebounds with her second board in the first quarter, breaking April Cromartie's (1998-02) total of 1,113. Bolden finished with 13 points and 15 boards marking her 13th double-double of the season.
Akila Smith led Longwood with 18 points and nine boards while Tra'dayja Smith added 15. The Lancers' leading scorer on the season, Kyla McMakin, was held to 11 points on 3-of-13 shooting.
Overall, only four Lancers scored on the afternoon as the team combined to shoot 30.8 percent (16-52) from the field.
Campbell led by as many as 17 after Shy Tuelle drilled her second three-pointer with 1:34 to go in the third quarter. Longwood went on a 7-0 run to close out the period, capped off by a buzzer-beating jumper from T. Smith to make it 47-37 entering the final period.
Longwood made it a five-point game at 50-45 with 2:33 to go in the fourth but were held without another basket the remainder of the game as the Camels closed the game going 8-of-10 from the charity stripe.
The Camels shot 34.0 percent (17-50) from the field but made 40 percent (6-15) of its three-pointers.
