BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell has signed safety Amari Clark, adding to its top-ranked incoming recruiting class.
The Camels officially added the Camden, N.J. native, currently ranked as a three star prospect by both 247Sports and Rivals, on Monday. Clark was listed as high as a four star product as a safety, wide receiver or athlete during his prep career.
With the Woodrow Wilson High School standout, Campbell's incoming 2022 class now includes 19 incoming freshmen, with 12 rated as three or four star recruits, as well as one two star prospect.
Clark is the fourth addition during the regular signing period for CU, joining four star (247 Sports, Rivals) safety Myles Rowser (Detroit, Mich. / Belleville HS), as well as a pair of North Carolina products in offensive tackle Joshua Noble (Mount Ulla, N.C. / West Rowan HS) and wide receiver Vincent Wilkins (Pfafftown, N.C. / Reagan HS).
Rowser, Clark, as well as December signee, safety Edric Weldon (Miami, Fla. / South Broward HS), who carried a four star ranking by Rivals prior to an injury early in his senior season, are among the
top recruits in their class to sign with Football Championship Subdivision programs, headlining the No. 1 incoming freshman class in the NCAA's subdivision.
The NCAA signing period runs through April 1.
