BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Athanas Kioko is set to compete at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships in Birmingham, Ala. on Saturday, March 12. The event will be broadcast on ESPN3.

Kioko will run in the 3000m, qualifying for the event with the 11th fastest time in the nation at 7:45.05# (converted from 7:50.46 for track size) set during the regular season.

A three-time All-American (twice for cross country, once for outdoor track & field), Kioko is set to make his NCAA Indoor National Championship debut.

At the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field championships Kioko finished third overall in the 5000m, running the fourth-fastest collegiate time (13:13.47) in the event according to an unofficial list by the USTFCCCA.
