Camels head to NC Central for midweek game

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell travels to face NC Central Wednesday in a 3:00 p.m. start time at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C. The game will be broadcast on the NCCU Sports Network.

  • Campbell leads the all-time series against NC Central, 22-1

HEAD COACH SHARONDA MCDONALD-KELLEY

  • Enters her fourth season with Campbell (80-73, .520)
  • In 2021, Campbell won the Big South regular season and tournament title with a 28-19 overall record and 15-3 mark in Big South play, leading to its first NCAA Tournament berth and victory since 2009
  • Spent time as an assistant coach at Ohio State, Florida, LSU and Texas Tech prior to becoming head coach of the Camels
  • Four-time All-Big 12 selection as a player for Texas A&M (2004-07). Holds numerous records for the Aggies including most runs scored and stolen bases. Led the NCAA in 2005 with 48 steals to earn the Golden Shoe Award. Her 73 consecutive stolen bases during her tenure at Texas A&M tied an NCAA record, and she led the Aggies to the Women's College World Series as a senior for the first time in 20 years. She compiled a .338 batting average throughout her four-year career in College Station
