BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Anthony Dell'Orso has signed an athletics grant in aid with Campbell University, head men's basketball coach Kevin McGeehan announced Wednesday.

Dell'Orso joins the Fighting Camels after averaging 30 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals as a high school senior at Marcellin College in Melbourne, Australia, where he was named team MVP and won the Sporting Excellence Award.
A 6-foot-6 guard, Dell'Orso was also chosen for the 2022 U20 Victoria state team.

The 2021 Bronco YL MVP, Dell'Orso averaged 16.5 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals at the Australian Junior Championships.  He joins Devon Dunn, Juan Reyna, Jasin Sinani and Elijah Walsh in the 2022 Campbell recruiting class.

"We are thrilled to add Anthony to our program," said McGeehan.  "He is an outstanding player with a great understanding of the game.  He will be able to play multiple positions for us and is a high character person who will also excel in the classroom and add to our culture at Campbell. We cannot wait to get him to the Creek."

The 2022 class joins a Fighting Camel program that won the 2019 Big South Conference regular season, advanced to the 2021 league title game, and finished second in the North Division last season.  Now entering his 10th year in charge of the Camels, McGeehan has guided the squad to 105 victories over the last six seasons, the most in a six-year span in CU's Division I era, which dates to 1977-78.
