BUIES CREEK, N.C. – For the second straight year, Campbell has been named an Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, while a dozen Camels earned Academic Honor Roll recognition from the organization.
Campbell was one of 295 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA to earn IWLCA Academic Honor Squad status for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
CU's 12 honorees on the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll marks a program record for a single season, ranking among the most in the country.

Shae Fitzgerald,
Courtney Hanson,
Ally Heath,
Camryn Johns,
Mackenzie Kolesar,
Kirsten Murphy,

Laura Will.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Campbell is coming off its first double figure win season since 2017, setting a school record for Big South wins in a single year with seven, led by head coach
Dawn Easley. CU also set another program with seven consecutive wins during the campaign.
Four Camels were named All-Big South in 2022, including Taylor, the conference's defensive player of the year, and Matthews, the 2022 Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
The Camels ranked among the nation's top-10 in caused turnovers (seventh, 11.29), ground balls (third, 20.94), shots per game (fifth, 34.94) and shots on goal per game (fourth, 26.53). CU also rated among the NCAA Division I leaders in draw controls per game (12
th, 16.82), points per game (17
th, 22.00), scoring offense (16
th, 15.18) and assists per game (19
th, 6.82).
