Camels head on the road to face No. 12 Stony Brook

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After a four-game homestand, the Fighting Camels are back on the road as they travel to Long Island to face No. 12 Stony Brook on Sunday morning.

In its last game, Campbell was tied late in the fourth quarter with Hofstra before giving up two goals in the final three minutes to fall to The Pride on Sunday.
 
Paige White and Emily Wilson each recorded hat tricks. The Camels recorded more shots, but both teams put 21 efforts on goal, and Hofstra won the draw control battle, 18-8.

Campbell is 0-2 against Stony Brook, with the games coming in the past two seasons.  
 
Scouting the Opponents
Stony Brook is winners of its last four games and is ranked No. 12 in the IWLCA national poll. The team leads the CAA in multiple categories, including: assists per game, caused turnovers per game, ground balls per game, scoring margin and scoring offense.
 
Hailey Huebner is third in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game, and Isabella Caporuscio is third in shots per game.
 
100 for Duncan
Senior attack McKenna Duncan became the latest Camel to surpass 100 career points, doing so against Hofstra.
 
In the Record Book
Hailey Kohlmann set the new Campbell record with 38 caused turnovers in a single season with five games remaining in the season.
 
A Century of Victories
Campbell won its 100th game in program history with a 16-9 victory over ECU on March 8. The win was also the 8th in a row, setting a new program record.
 
Prominent Defense
Fifth-year defender Hailey Kohlmann is fifth in the NCAA in caused turnovers, tallying 3.30 per game. She also ranks 18th in the country in ground balls per game (3.0). Adria Welsh is 2nd in the CAA and 40th in the nation with a .448 save percentage.
 
The Camels rank 17th in the NCAA in scoring defense and 23rd in caused turnovers.
 
Conference Leaders
Campbell leads the CAA in scoring defense. The team is second in caused turnovers per game, saves percentage and scoring margin. Hailey Kohlmann is second in caused turnovers, and Drew Watkins is third in draw controls.  
 
CAA Hardware
Hailey Kohlmann is a two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Week. Adria Welsh has two CAA Rookie of the Week honors, and Chole Annibell and Emma Penkunas have each received one CAA Offensive Player of the Week nod.
 
Late Game Heroics
Caroline Laur scored two goals in the final three minutes to complete the comeback against High Point.
 
Against Winthrop, Chloe Annibell netted the game winner with 1:20 left on the clock.
 
White's Early Season Hat Tricks
Sophomore Paige White recorded hat tricks in the first two games of the season. She opened the 2026 campaign with four goals against Jacksonville, followed by three goals and three assists against Gardner-Webb.
 
Preseason Accolades
Fifth-year defender Hailey Kohlmann was selected as an honorable mention on the All-CAA Preseason Team. She was first on the team last year with 37 ground balls and fifth in the CAA in ground balls per game.
 
Looking for Difference Makers
The Camels are looking to replace two program greats with the departure of Rasa Welsh and Sam Bischoff. Welsh is third all-time in career assists, and Bischoff is second all-time in career goals. Both players ended their careers top five in career points.
 
Head Coach Dawn Easley
Coach Easley is in the midst of her 13th season at the helm in Buies Creek. She owns a record of 95-116 at Campbell and a 153-147 overall record.
