NORFOLK, Va. - Six different Camels scored as Campbell defeated Hampton 6-0 Saturday afternoon at Powhatan Field.
It marked the largest offensive output by Campbell this season as the Camels (4-5-6, 2-3-5 CAA) remain unbeaten in their last four outings. Hampton drops to 0-16 and 0-10 in league games.
Cazzi Norgren opened the scoring in the 12th minute on an assist by Olivia Neal while reigning CAA Rookie of the Week Alyssa Tucker added another in the 31st minute on assists from Amber Liston and Natalie Darling.
Natalie Jamison recorded her first collegiate goal in the 37th minute on a deep right-footed shot to make it 3-0 at halftime.
Campbell added three more goals after the break starting with a score by Kaleigh Backlund in the 58th minute. Bayleigh Humbert and Sage Dougherty added two more in the final 10 minutes for the Camels.
Liston, who entered the game with three assists on the year, dished out another three assists in the game.
CU held a 29-2 advantage in shots, 17-1 on target and had nine corners to none for the Pirates.
Campbell returns to action in its final home game of the regular season on Thursday against Elon.
