BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell and Elon battled to a 1-1 draw Thursday night at Eakes Athletics Complex.

Campbell moves to 4-5-7 overall and 2-3-6 in CAA play while Elon moves to 2-9-5 overall and 1-7-3 in conference games.

It marked the final home game for seniors Bayleigh Humbert, Stephanie Martelli, Olivia Neal and Cazzi Norgren along with fifth-year players Amber Liston and Laney Peabody.

A stalemate through the first 88 minutes, Liston broke through for the Camels with a penalty kick goal with 1:58 remaining.

Elon responded in the final seconds of the game as the Phoenix earned a corner kick and scored on Lauren McCauley shot to the top right corner with four seconds remaining.

Campbell had several close chances throughout the second half. In the 53rd minute, Liston dribbled into the right side of the box and fired a shot that hit off the top crossbar.

Seconds before the penalty kick goal, Laney Peabody had a shot that hit off the right post in the 88th minute..

The Camels prevented close calls with the Phoenix throughout the night as well. In the 81st minute, Riley Terrill cleared a Katie Lowe header off the goal line.

Elon slightly edged Campbell in shots 10-9 while both sides finished with seven corners each.

Campbell concludes the regular season Sunday on the road at Monmouth.
