RICHMOND, Va. – Redshirt senior Laney Peabody was named to the 2023 Women's Soccer All-CAA Second Team, and freshman Alyssa Tucker earned a place on the all-rookie team, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
 
This is Peabody's fourth season earning all-conference honors. A native of Solana Beach, Calif., she was named to the All-Big South first team in 2020-21 and 2022, and she was a second team member in 2021.
 
Peabody was named the Big South Defensive Player of the Year last season, and she began this season on the Preseason All-CAA Team. She started all 15 games she participated in, and the captain was third on the team in minutes this season.
 
Peabody scored goals in back-to-back games against Northeastern and William & Mary to end her collegiate career with eight goals and five assists.
 
A freshman from Raleigh, N.C., Tucker found a spot on the conference's all-rookie team. The forward led the Camels with five goals on the year, including a brace and the game-winner against Drexel.
 
Tucker also led the team with 11 points and shots on goal (16). She was twice named conference rookie of the week on Aug. 28 and Oct. 9.
