TOWSON, MD – Campbell fell in straight sets Saturday at Towson. Campbell allowed the Tigers to hit .351 on the day, the highest mark allowed by the Camels so far this season.
 
The loss drops Campbell to 7-10, 4-3 in the CAA. Towson improves to 13-4, 6-1 in the league to remain atop the standings.
 
Towson took the opening set 25-18. The Camels cut the Towson lead to just two points at 18-16, but the Tigers responded with a 6-0 run to all but close out the set. Melody Paige got off to a hot start with four kills and a block in the first frame.
 
Campbell had no answer for Towson's offense in the second set as the Tigers hit .560 in the frame to race out to an early lead and eventually a 25-13 set win.
 
The Camels hung closer in the third set but couldn't prolong the match. Campbell briefly led at 20-19 following a Paige solo block, but Towson answered with two kills, an ace, and a block to take a three-point lead and ultimately the match.
 
Towson's front line held Campbell's offense in check with 11 blocks on the day, the most against Campbell in a three-set match this season.
 
Paige led Campbell with 11 kills on .450 hitting and added a team-high three blocks as well. McKenna Sciacca dished out a team-high 14 assists.
