BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell and Delaware traded first half goals, battling to a 1-1 draw in CAA play on Sunday at the Eakes Athletics Complex.
Campbell moved to 3-5-6 overall and 1-3-5 in CAA play with Sunday's result, while Delaware shifting to 4-4-7 on the season and 1-2-6 against conference opponents.
The Camels struck first with
Reagan Baiotto's 17
th minute goal, redirecting a
Cazzi Norgren feed past the reach of the Blue Hen keeper.
Delaware answered back just over two minutes later with the equalizer, as Julianna Bell fired from the top of the box off after an attempted clear.
Campbell pressured the visiting Blue Hens with 10 second half shots, including a cross to
Amber Liston in the final seconds of regulation that went just wide of the post. CU posted seven shots on goal on the day, with five in the second half, matching Delaware's shot total.

On Sunday's result:
We grew a bit today because when the chips were down the performance was good. Either side could have come away with the win. Delaware was on us early. I like the growth that I'm seeing and the goal is the same, and that is to get in the playoff, so now see if we can fight our way in with our remaining opportunities.
On Campbell's upcoming match at Hampton:
The only thing you can focus on heading into Sunday is three points. That's it. We have a week to let our bodies rest and recover and to keep working on the football. Our kids have been working really hard and it's starting to show up more often.
