BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell will round out its 2023 fall schedule this weekend, traveling to Wake Forest.

The tournament is slated to run from Friday, November 3 to Sunday, November 5, with action beginning at 9:00 a.m. each day at the Wake Forest Tennis Center.

Also participating in the tournament are entries from Furman, South Carolina, Princeton, VCU Old Dominion, Duke, Virginia, Auburn, James Madison, Shenandoah, Tennessee Tech, NC A&T, Davidson, Georgia Southern, Radford, Richmond, UNC Asheville, UNC Greensboro, UNC Charlotte, Cleveland State and North Carolina in addition to the Camels and the Demon Deacons.

Last time out, Benjamin Maes and Damien Nezar both advanced to the round of 32, leading Campbell at the 2023 ITA Carolina Regional Championship at the Cary Tennis Park.

Maes, seeded eighth in the tournament, topped Furman's Thomas Kennedy 6-3, 6-2 to open play, then defeated Carlos Berna Ruiz from Coastal Carolina 7-5, 6-1 before falling to No. 1 seeded Pedro Rodenas from Duke, 6-3, 6-3.

Nezar also won his first pair of matchups, downing North Carolina Central's Kareem Hakim 6-3, 6-4, and Coastal's Lucas Wayenburg 6-2, 6-1 before NC State's Luca Staeheli edge the CU junior 6-3, 6-3.

Maes and Nezar were two of six Camels competing in singles action, also pairing up for a two doubles victories.

Noe Macquart, Tomas Balazi and Pol Otin also picked up wins over the weekend.
