BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell head coach Mike Minter has announced his coaching staff for the 2023 season.

Minter, who completed his 10^th season at the helm in 2022, returns the majority of his staff from last season, including assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Steven Williams, as well as associate head coach Reggie Howard, offensive coordinator Anthony Weeden and defensive line coach Damien Adams.

In 2023, Patrick Miller, who spent the 2022 season as safeties coach, and Arturo Freeman, a defensive analyst for Minter's staff last year, will share defensive coordinator duties, with Freeman taking over safeties and Miller assisting linebackers.

Howard, meanwhile, will focus on cornerbacks, while Adams, Minter's longest tenured staff member after joining the Camels in 2013, will shift to general manager and transfer personnel duties, while retaining defensive line responsibilities.

Matt Chiappelli will also move into a coaching role, guiding the CU linebackers while serving as recruiting coordinator after working with defensive quality control last season.

Also returning will be offensive line coach Famika Anae, running backs coach Dee Brown, who will add quarterbacks to his coaching duties next season, and tight ends coach Jacob Cuddington

Following the 2022 season, a school record 12 Camels were named to Big South all-conference teams, while eight earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators, yet another program record.

First Team All-Big South performers Mike Edwards, an offensive tackle, and long snapper Jackson Hayes also earned All-America honors from multiple publications, while defensive back Myles Rowser picked up Freshman All-America accolades.

Campbell also set a school passing yards record (2,915) for the second straight season, on top of hauling in the top recruiting class in the FCS for the second consecutive year.

The Camels will kick off the 2023 season on Thursday, August 31, hosting 2022 league co-champion William & Mary for its first CAA contest.
