BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Christabel Ezumah recorded her seventh double-double of the season as Campbell earned a 48-38 win over Winthrop Wednesday night at Gore Arena.
With the win Campbell (15-13, 10-7) will be seeded third for the Big South Championships in Charlotte next week.
The Camels held Winthrop (8-20, 6-11) to four points in the second quarter and entered halftime with a 22-13 lead. The Eagles, who finished shooting 33.3 percent (14-of-42) from the field, were unable to cut their deficit to fewer than eight points the remainder of the game.
Ezumah finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, marking her fourth double-double in the past seven games. A junior from Sugar Hill, Ga., Ezumah added one assist, steal and block in 24 minutes of action.
Svenia Nurenberg added 10 points, eight boards, four assists and two blocks while Gianni Boone added six points off the bench.
Campbell, which led by as many as 13, shot 46.5 percent (20-of-43) from the floor and outscored the Eagles 36-16 in the paint. The Camels held a 33-22 advantage on the boards and scored 16 points off 17 turnovers.
Jada Ryce led Winthrop with 15 points while Paige Powell added 14.
Campbell hosts Radford in its regular season finale on Saturday.
