TULSA, OKLA. – Campbell wrapped up competition at the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships on Friday at the BOK Center.
Three Camels advanced to day two of the championships on Friday, including No. 19
Domenic Zaccone at 133 pounds, No. 24
Levi Hopkins at 197 and No. 17 heavyweight

After topping No. 30 Ethan Rotondo from Cal Poly in last night's consolation first round with a third period pin (6:40), Zaccone was eliminated by No. 13 Jesse Mendez from Ohio State by fall (4:39), finishing 1-2 in the tournament.
Hopkins, meanwhile, exited after a 13-4 major decision to No. 10 Jacob Cardenas of Cornell on Friday. The redshirt junior went 1-2 in Tulsa, topping Virginia's No. 25 Michael Battista, 6-4 Thursday night.
Winning his first round matchup, 3-1 in overtime over No. 16 Tate Orndorff from Ohio State, Ghadiali drew top-ranked Mason Parris from Michigan, falling in a 6-1 decision Thursday night. The three-time NCAA qualifier was then edged by Oklahoma's No. 18 Josh Heindselman, 3-2, finishing 1-2 in the championships.
Ghadiali, Hopkins and Zaccone were three of five Camels to qualify for the 2023 NCAA Championships, along with No. 27
Shannon Hanna at 141 pounds, and No. 27
Caleb Hopkins at 184, eliminated on Thursday.
This is the fifth consecutive season that Campbell has qualified at least five wrestlers for the NCAA Championships.
The NCAA Championships continue Friday evening, wrapping up on Saturday at the BOK Center.
