Camels open Big South play Wednesday, hosting Radford

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell opens its Big South schedule on Wednesday, March 29, hosting Radford at 6:00 p.m. at Barker-Lane Stadium.

For the game, the Camels will be partnering with The Hidden Opponent, an accredited non-profit and advocacy group that raises awareness for student-athlete mental health and addresses the stigma within sports culture.

Wednesday's game will also feature a water bottle giveaway for early arriving fans.

Campbell is 4-4 on the season, coming off a 24-12 loss to former Big South foe Coastal Carolina last weekend. In a tie game at 7-7 with 3:59 to go in the second, Coastal scored back to back goals to close the quarter and continued the run with three straight to open the third period, wrapping an 11-2 run around the half.

Sam Bischoff and Olivia Ohlmann each gathered four points on three goals and an assist for the Camels, with Bischoff recording six draw controls and two caused turnovers, and Ohlmann tacking on four ground balls. Joslin Hanbury also posted four points on two goals and two assists, while Rasa Welsh was credited with two goals and an assist.

Bischoff leads the Camels on the season with 33 points on 28 goals and five assists, while Rasa Welsh adds 28 points on 11 goals and 17 assists. Joslin Hanbury and Olivia Ohlmann have also combined for 23 goals, with Delaney Nicolaus adding nine goals and seven assists.

Rebekah Taylor anchors the defense with 16 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers, while Shae Fitzgerald owns a team-high 21 ground balls with 10 caused turnovers. Chandler Stewart has also gathered 15 ground balls with 12 caused turnovers for the Camels.

Radford is 3-5 on the season, heading into the midweek Big South game having won three of its last four outings, including last Saturday's 14-3 win over Akron. Ashlyn Grogan leads the Highlanders with 29 points on 14 goals and 15 assists, while Margaret Gleason owns 26 points on 20 goals and six assists.
