Campbell is 7-4 on the season, coming off a
16-4 win at Presbyterian, improving to a 3-0 start in Big South play. The Camels are one of two squads unbeaten in Big South games so far this season, joining Mercer.
The Campbell defense is surrendering a league low 5.33 goals per game in Big South games, allowing only two fourth quarter scores, while averaging 13.33 goals per outing. The Camels own a decisive edge against opponents in goals (40-16), shots (98-57), assists (24-6), ground balls (75-58), draw controls (45-22) and caused turnovers (45-26), among others.
The Camels are yet to allow a free position score in league play.
Campbell leads NCAA Division I in ground balls per game (20.5) and rank third in caused turnovers per game (12.5).
Rasa Welsh, who notched six points on three goals and three assists at PC, leads Campbell in Big South play with 16 points on eight goals and eight assists, one of five Camels with four or more goals in conference games this season.
Rebekah Taylor has tallied eight caused turnovers and eight ground balls, while
Chandler Stewart has picked up a team-high 17 ground balls over CU's three Big South matches.
CU is also 4-1 at Barker-Lane Stadium this season.
For the season, Welsh has collected a team-high 44 points with 19 goals and 25 assists, while
Sam Bischoff owns 38 points on 32 goals and six assists.
Ally Heath has also scored 20 goals with nine assists, while
Joslin Hanbury and
Olivia Ohlmann have combined for 37 scores.
Defensively, Taylor has caused 22 turnovers with 24 ground balls, while Stewart has posted 36 ground balls with 20 caused turnovers.
Shae Fitzgerald adds 31 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers.
Wofford heads into Saturday's matchup at 5-6 overall, off to a 2-1 start in Big South play. The Terriers are coming off an 18-17 double overtime win over Longwood.
Olivia Abe leads Wofford with 24 points on 12 goals and 12 assists, adding 12 ground balls, while Emma Krasinski owns a team-high 18 goals. Kristen Courtemanche also owns 21ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.
Campbell is 2-0 all-time against the Terriers, including
last season's 14-12 win on the road, the first meeting as Big South foes.
Next up, the Camels will head back on the road, traveling to Gardner-Webb on Wednesday, April 12. Campbell returns home for three of its final four regular season contests, hosting Longwood on April 15.
