Boulder, Colo. – Campbell fell in straight sets Saturday night to Colorado at the CU Events Center. The Camels could not find the rhythm on offense, hitting .076 on the night due in part to Colorado's 13 team blocks.
 
Melody Paige led the Camels with nine kills on .333 hitting to go along with a team-high four blocks. Gwen Wolkow and Claranne Fechter paced the defense with eight digs each.
 
The Camels hung around for most of the first set, but fell off late as Colorado took it 25-20. Things were tied at 13-13 before a 4-0 Buffs run put the hosts ahead for good. Gwen Wolkow notched four kills in the opening set to lead the CU attack.
 
It was all Colorado in the second set, with Campbell trailing by as many as 17 at one point before falling 25-11. The Campbell offense couldn't get anything going, committing 10 errors to only six kills in the frame.
 
Colorado put the match away with a much closer 25-22 set win in the third. Campbell trailed by just one at 21-20 as Paige got hot with five kills and three blocks in the third set, but it wasn't enough to prolong the match.
 
The Camels return to action tomorrow at noon ET to face UNLV in the final match in Colorado.
