LUBBOCK, TEXAS –
Isabella Hahne tied for eighth individually and Campbell finished third on the team leader board after Tuesday's final round of the Red Raider Invitational at The Rawls Course.
Hahne birdied the par-five 17th and 18th holes Tuesday to finish the day at even-par, one under for the event (70-73-72—215) in the 60-golfer field.
Izabella Grimbrandt (74-74-75—223) tied for 21st, while
Alicia Olsson (73-72-79—224) tied for 24th.
Sanna Lundmark (78-76-73—227) and
Taylah Ellems (77-74-78—229) finished 32nd and T35th, respectively.
A sophomore from Kungsbacka, Sweden, Hahne logged her fourth top-10 finish in 12 collegiate starts. One of just nine golfers to finish in red numbers, she tied for second in the event in par-5 scoring (-4) and made 12 birdies (T5th) on the par-72 Tom Doak design.
Grimbrandt finished with 35 pars and Olsson 10 birdies for the Camels, who were second as a team on the par-5 layouts (-2) and third in birdies (43).
Host Texas Tech (289-275-283—847) won the 10-team event at 17-under par. Iowa (291-290-295—876) was second, followed by the Camels (294-293-298—885), Abilene Christian (297-293-296—886) and UTEP (298-293-296—887).
Maja Ambroziak (71-67—138) of Texas Tech won individual honors at 7-under (71-67-71—209), two strokes ahead of Ellen Nicholas from Incarnate Word (70-70-71—211).
Campbell continues its schedule Oct. 9-10 with the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at Governor's Club in Chapel Hill, N.C.
