BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell has signed Italian standout Alex Fragasso, announced today by head coach David Johnson.

Fragasso, training at Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, has been ranked as high as 1,792 by ITF PRO, currently listed at 1,867. He is competing in the Second Tier Italian Team Championship (Serie B).

He also owns three singles and two doubles Italian National Tournament wins, and claimed the 2023 under 18 AS Mouratoglou CC Tournoi Jeunes Hiver.

The Rome, Italy native defeated his first ATP ranked opponent in the 25k ITF pro event, and reached the semifinals of the Mouratoglou French National tournament, defeating Pavlos Tsitsipas (12.4 UTR and 1300 ATP).

Fragasso is the first member of the Fighting Camels' 2024 signing class.

Campbell kicks off its 2024 spring dual season at No. 13 North Carolina on Thursday, January 18.
