BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Four decades ago, Buies Creek – home of Campbell University – was said to be located in the "middle of nowhere."  But that didn't mean you couldn't get where you wanted to go from central Harnett County where the North Carolina piedmont meets the Coastal Plain.
 
Campbell has produced United States congressmen, Major League Baseball players, PGA Tour members, thousands of lawyers, plus doctors, teachers and more graduates who live all over the globe.
 
How about a model who has walked the runways in Milan and New York City, an actor who works the sound stages in Los Angeles… and a tennis instructor, all rolled up in one?
 
Frankie DelConte once guarded Michael Jordan in high school before starring on the Campbell tennis team in the early days of the program's Division one era. 
 
Now, his acting and modeling career keeps him busy on the West Coast, but he still makes time to play – and help others learn – the sport he loves.
