BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell women's basketball 2024 signee Olivia Tucker was named to the 2024 McDonald's All-American Game nominee list as announced by the event's organizers.
The McDonald's All American Games Selection Committee announced the 729 girls and boys basketball players nominated for the chance to play in the Games this April. This year's nominees span far and wide with 43 states plus the District of Columbia represented among the class.
Tucker, a standout guard at nearby Panther Creek HS in Cary, N.C., has led her team to three conference championships and a state title last season. She averaged 16.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.0 steals as a junior last year and was named the MVP of the state championship.
Currently in her final season at Panther Creek, Tucker is averaging 18.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 4.5 steals. She's scored over 20 points six times this year, including putting up a season-high 33 points against North Raleigh Christian.
Tucker signed with the Fighting Camels on National Signing Day in November and is set to join the program ahead of the 2024-25 season along with fellow signees Ciara Alexander, Mikayla Taborn and Emerson Thompson.
Campbell (9-8, 2-4 CAA) returns to action on Friday as it hosts North Carolina A&T in a 7:00 PM tip from Gore Arena.
