BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Jordyn Dorsey scored 21 points to lead North Carolina A&T over Campbell 73-51 Friday night at Gore Arena.
Campbell falls to 9-9 overall and 2-5 in the CAA while the Aggies improve to 11-6 and 5-1 in conference play.
Shy Tuelle, who passed both Ronda Mueller (1978-82) and Taya Bolden (2016-22) for 10th on the all-time scoring list, led the Camels with 11 points. Brittany Staves added 10 points marking the fourth-straight game she's reached double-figures. Gemma Nunez added seven points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Dorsey scored 14 of her 21 in the first half and added five rebounds, three assists and two steals. D'Mya Tucker provided 17 points while Maleia Bracone recorded nine points, four assists and four steals.
The Camels took an 18-15 lead early in the second quarter before the Aggies answered with a 9-0 run and never let up leading 34-23 at the half and by as many as 23.
A&T shot 47.5 percent (29-of-61) and converted just two turnovers. The Aggies outscored Campbell 38-18 in the paint and 21-0 off turnovers. Campbell made 34.7 percent (17-of-49) from the field and out-rebounded A&T 39-27.
Campbell returns to action on Sunday as it travels to Boston to face Northeastern at 2:00 PM.
