BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Freshman midfielder Abby Connolly was selected by the CAA coaches as a member of the CAA All-Rookie Team, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
A native of Thomasville, N.C., Connolly was third on the team with nine points, accumulating three goals and three assists this season.
Connolly was a stable piece in Campbell's midfield, starting 17 of 18 contests, and she was fifth on the team in total minutes played, totaling 1,057.
In the first home game of the season against George Mason, Connolly secured a goal and an assist. She also recorded goals against Charleston Southern and UNCW. Her other two assists came against Gardner-Webb and Hampton.
This is the second consecutive year a Camel earns a nod on the CAA All-Rookie Team, as Connolly joins forward Alyssa Tucker in earning the distinction.
