Cross Country competes at Pirate Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Campbell men and women competed at the ECU Pirate Invitational on Friday night and set multiple personal records.

Emily Pierce set a personal record for the 6k with a time of 23:19.6. Multiple freshmen ran their first 6k's; Mary Ella Bichey (25:48.4), Claire Hartigan (26:05.0), Kylie White (26:25.3), Abby Reutinger (26:47.2) and Truth King (26:58.8).

Multiple personal records were set in the men's 8k; Hudson Hayes (25.46.8), Andrew Barrett (26:02.0), Brett Walston (24:14.4), William Sanchez (26:46.2), Craig Costa (27:00.0) and Parker Key (27:46.2).

The Campbell men placed 17th overall and the women placed 19th overall.

The Camels will return to the XC course for the Elon Phoenix Invitational on October 18th in Elon, N.C.
