CONWAY, S.C. - Lincoln Ulrich scored the only goal of the match as Coastal Carolina defeated Campbell 1-0 Tuesday evening at the CCU Soccer Complex. 

Campbell (6-3-4) held a 17-14 edge in shots over Coastal Carolina (3-7) but couldn't find the back for just the fourth match this season. 

The Camels put three shots on goal in the first 22 minutes of action and had five more blocked in a scoreless first half. 

Coastal eventually broke through in the 77th minute as Gudjon Stefansson headed a ball to Lincoln Ulrich from inside the box. Ulrich met the ball before it hit the ground with a right-footed strike into the back of the net. 

Campbell had a chance to equalize moments later in the 79th minute as Filipe Matos' header off a cross in from Ethan Roberts was saved. 

A foul by the Chanticleers at the top of the box with four seconds remaining gave Campbell another look at equalizing but Luc Lavielle sailed the free kick high. 

Samy Slimi made four saves in the nets for Campbell while Harrison Gough made five for the Chants. 

Campbell remains on the road as it travels to nationally-ranked #21 Hofstra on Saturday at 2 PM.
