Camels fall at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, OHIO - Ohio State downed Campbell 104-60 Friday night inside the Schottenstein Center. The Buckeyes drilled 13 triples, 11 of those in the first half, and shot 64% from the floor on the night.

The loss drops Campbell to 3-3, while Ohio State improves to 4-1 on the year.

Ohio State was red-hot from three in the first half, going 11-13 from three to gain a 53-27 halftime lead. John Mobley Jr. led that charge with 19 points on 5-5 from beyond the arc. The Camels trailed by just three points at the 10 minute mark, but that's when the triples started falling as the Buckeyes put together a 15-0 run over the next 5:42 to put some distance between the teams.

OSU hit just two threes in the second half, but worked the ball inside, largely to Devin Royal who led all scorers with 12 points in the second half on 6-7 from the floor. Bragi Gudmundsson led the way for Campbell in the second with seven points, including 4-4 at the stripe.

Gudmundssson led the Camels with 12, while three others finished with 10. Nolan Dorsey led the efforts on the glass with eight rebounds.

Mobley Jr. came off the bench for Ohio State to lead all scorers with 23 points. All five Buckeye starters scored in double figures as well.

The game marked the first time Campbell allowed 100 points in regulation since the 2016-17 season-opener at Oklahoma State, and the most overall since UNCW scored 106 in Dec. 2015.

Campbell continues its road trip Sunday at Evansville. Tip-off against the Aces is set for 4pm ET/ 3 CT and will stream on ESPN+.
