Camels fall at Evansville

Evansville, Ind. - Jasin Sinani scored a game-high 22 but it wasn't enough as Campbell fell to Evansville 66-53 Sunday afternoon at the Ford Center. 

The loss drops the Camels to 3-4 on the year, while Evansville moves to the same record of 3-4.

Sinani's 22 was aided by a perfect 11-11 at the foul line to improve his mark to 90% on the season. He also added five rebounds and a steal to his line. Nolan Dorsey again paced the effort on the glass with seven boards to go along with his eight points. 

Sinani led all scorers with 10 points in the first half thanks to going 5-5 at the stripe. The Purple Aces connected on five first-half triples to Campbell's three in what led to the hosts holding a six-point halftime lead at 34-28.

Evansville opened the second half with a 14-3 run to go up 13 quickly. From that point, Campbell never drew closer than a nine-point deficit as the threes weren't falling, going 2-11 from downtown in the second. Colby Duggan scored nine of his 11 points in the second half for Campbell.

The Camels shot 33% from the floor and 22% from distance in the game, but continued their excellence at the foul line at 89% on 16-18. 

Tayshawn Comer scored 18 for Evansvlle to lead four players in double figures for the Purple Aces. 

The Camels return to action next Saturday at Green Bay for the final of four straight road games. Tip-off is at 1 p.m. ET, 12 CT on ESPN+.
