Campbell rolls by Furman 82-72

Tucker scores 17, Fuller dishes out career-best 11 assists as Camels shoot season-high 57.9%

ATLANTA, GA. - Olivia Tucker scored 17 points, Audrey Fuller dished out a career-high 11 assists and Campbell picked up an 82-72 win over Furman at the GSU Convocation Center to open the GSU Thanksgiving Tournament.

Courtney Dahlquist added 13 points, Ciara Alexander scored 12 and Gianni Boone finished with 11 points for the Camels (4-2) who led by as many as 25 and shot a season-high 57.9 percent from the field. 

Furman (4-3) had five players score double-figures led by Tate Walters 14 points and a 12 point and 12 rebound double-double from Sydney Ryan. 

Tucker made 7-of-11 shots from the field while Dahlquist finished a near perfect 5-of-6 from the field including 3-of-4 from three for the Camels. 

The Camels forced 12 turnovers and held the Paladins to 1-of-12 shooting from behind the arc in a first half capped off by a second-chance three from Hadleigh Dill. 

Furman cut its deficit to single-digits just once in the second half as the Camels led by as many as 19 in the third quarter and went up by 25 on a layup from Alexander with 5:54 to go in the fourth. 

CU outscored Furman 48-32 in the paint, 23-9 off turnovers and 11-3 on fast breaks. 

Gemma Nunez totaled nine points, five boards, four assists and four steals while Dill finished with eight points, two boards and two assists.

Campbell's 82 points are the most against a DI opponent since scoring 81 against South Carolina State on Nov. 19, 2022 while its 57.9 field goal percentage is the highest since the Camels made 60.4 percent from the field in a 80-37 win over Winthrop on Dec. 31, 2020.

Campbell continues action at the GSU Thanksgiving Tournament tomorrow against Purdue Fort Wayne  in a 2:30 PM tip.
