CHARLESTON, S.C. - Alexis Andrews and Jada Logan each scored 17 points and Charleston defeated Campbell 65-51 Sunday afternoon at TD Arena.
Campbell had its three-game win streak snapped and falls to 12-10 overall and 5-6 in CAA games. Charleston improves to 16-6 overall and 8-3 in conference games.
Shy Tuelle led the Camels with 11 points and five rebounds while both Brittany Staves and Jessica Woods added eight points each.
Andrews finished 5-of-7 from three while Logan made 7-of-11 shots from the field to lead Charleston. Jenna Annecchiarico added 11 points and seven assists for the Cougars.
Charleston used a 10-0 run and jumped out to a 21-12 lead after the first quarter and 36-22 at the half. The Cougars led by as many as 20 and shot 45.6 percent (26-of-57) from the floor and 40.0 percent (8-of-20) from three.
The Camels made 39.1 percent (18-of-46) from the field and 33.3 percent (8-of-24) from three. Charleston scored 26 points off 22 turnovers and held a 36-22 advantage in points in the paint and 12-2 on breaks.
Campbell returns to action next Friday in a 7:00 PM matchup against Monmouth at Gore Arena.
