BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell 133-pounder Domenic Zaccone has been selected as the SoCon Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
Zaccone, who is ranked No. 24 in the NWCA Coaches Poll, went 2-0 in the week's matches, earning wins against conference foes Chattanooga and Presbyterian.
On Saturday, Zaccone scored the win in the only ranked versus ranked matchup of the week for the Camels. He defeated #25 Blake Boarman (UTC) by a 5-2 decision.
He followed that up with a first period tech fall against Presbyterian's Brayden Adams on Sunday. Zaccone reached a 21-6 advantage in just two minutes and 47 seconds of action.
Zaccone, who received the honor on 12/6, joins teammate Anthony Molton (1/10 & 1/17) as two-time wrestlers of the week. Justin Rivera (12/20), Taye Ghadiali (11/22) and Caleb Hopkins (2/7) have also received the conference accolade this season.
The #22 Camels take on conference opponent VMI in their final regular season match on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

Head Coach Scotti Sentes
"Dom Zaccone continues to improve. He controlled the match and was never at any risk. We have had a very tough schedule, and I think it's paying dividends this back half of the season."
