BUIES CREEK – Campbell wrestling had 17 student-athletes make the 2025 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll and three student-athletes earned Academic All-SoCon honors, the conference announced Wednesday.

The team's efforts contributed to an all-time single year departmental GPA mark set during the 2024-25 academic year, as the Fighting Camels posted a 3.261 GPA across all 21 NCAA Division I varsity sports. The department also saw another single semester departmental record, recording a 3.301 GPA for the spring 2025 term. Of its 21 sports, 20 reported cumulative team GPAs of 3.0 or better for the semester.

The Academic All-SoCon recipients were Dom Baker, Shannon Hanna and Levi Hopkins. In April, Hopkins was recognized as an NWCA Scholar All-American.

To be eligible for Academic All-SoCon recognition, student-athletes had to carry at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA at the conclusion of the spring semester and meet participation requirements during the 2024-25 season. Additionally, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.
 
The SoCon's Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who achieve a 3.0 minimum GPA for the academic year while being a member of the final squad list during their sport's traditional season.
