Grant Knipp named CAA Player of the Week

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell catcher Grant Knipp has been named the CAA Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Knipp is the first to receive the conference Player of the Week award for a second time, having also earned the honor in week two of the season.

Knipp's week was highlighted by a stellar time at the plate, going 9-15 with four walks and three home runs. He has totaled 14 home runs to this point in the season, which ranks first in the NCAA. He was perfect behind the plate this week, with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

The Campbell catcher also recorded 11 RBI in the four games this week. The Camels, led by Knipp, have won nine of their last 10. They have scored double digits in eight of the nine wins.

The other weekly award winners from the CAA were Michael Logan from NC A&T (co-player of the week), Charleston's Jake Brink (pitcher of the week) and William & Mary's Josiah Seguin (rookie of the week).
