BUIES CREEK – The 14-team bracket has been set for the 2024 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship, to be played March 8-12 at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.
Campbell is sloted as the No. 9 seed after posting an 8-10 conference mark in its inaugural year of CAA play. The 9-seed keeps Campbell out of the first day of action featuring seeds 11-14.
The Fighting Camels will begin their tournament journey against No. 8 Monmouth Saturday Mar. 9 at 12 p.m. The Camels will look to avenge a loss from earlier this season West Long Branch, N.J. as the Hawks banked in a 40-footer at the buzzer.
The Championship will begin with two Friday First Round games, as No. 12 North Carolina A&T (7-24, 5-13) faces No. 13 William & Mary (9-22, 4-14) at 2 p.m. and No. 11 Elon (13-18, 6-12) takes on No. 14 Hampton (8-23, 3-15) at 4:30 p.m. The Tribe earned the No. 13 seed by virtue of Saturday's head-to-head win over the Pirates.
The winners of Friday's contests will join six other teams who have secured a spot in Saturday's Second Round. The afternoon of March 9 will open with No. 8 Monmouth (17-14, 10-8) taking on No. 9 Campbell (14-17, 8-10) at 12 p.m. with No. 5 Towson (18-13, 11-7) and the winner of the N.C. A&T/William & Mary game to follow at 2:30 p.m. The Saturday evening session begins with No. 7 Stony Brook (17-14, 10-8) facing No. 10 Northeastern (12-19, 7-11) at 6 p.m. before No. 6 Delaware (18-13, 10-8) plays the winner of Elon/Hampton at 8:30 p.m.
Top-seeded Charleston (24-7, 15-3) will open Sunday's Quarterfinal competition at noon with No. 4 UNCW (21-9, 12-6) to follow at 2:30 p.m. The evening session will feature No. 2 Drexel (20-11, 13-5) at 6 p.m. and No. 3 Hofstra (19-12, 12-6) at 8:30 p.m.; all four teams will take on the winners of Saturday matchups.
Semifinal Monday will be played Monday, March 11, at 6 and 8:30 p.m. with the CAA Championship Final tipping off Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m.

We will also have a meet up for Campbell fans Friday (Mar. 8) from 7-9 pm at The Brighton (949 Wharf Street SW, Washington, DC 20024) for a casual "dutch treat" gathering. The Brighton is just a 10-minute walk from the team's host hotel, the Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf.
Game Day Saturday Send Off
Join Fighting Camel fans and spirit groups Saturday (Mar. 9) at 9:45 a.m. to send off the team to its first game of the CAA Championship. The sendoff will be at the Hilton Washington, DC National Mall The Wharf (480 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024). Then, follow the Camels to the Entertainment & Sports Arena for their 12 p.m. first-round game vs. Monmouth.
