BUIES CREEK, N.C. – No. 22 Campbell baseball (16-4) welcomes the Delaware Blue Hens (9-10) to Jim Perry Stadium this weekend, as the two teams open CAA play with the three-game series.
Due to incoming weather, the game on Friday was moved from it's original 6:00 start to a 1:00 start. The scheduled Friday Night Fireworks has been postponed, and a new date is still TBD.

Campbell is led at the plate by Grant Knipp and Lawson Harrill. The two preseason All-CAA selections are each hitting above .400 this year and are the only two Camels with a .550+ on-base percentage.
Knipp is leading the entire country with 15 home runs, 39 RBI and a 1.250 slugging percentage. He's second in runs and total bases, and he has the tenth-highest batting average in all of Division I.
Zach Sabers is second on the team in ERA, coming in at 4.97. He leads the team with 25.1 innings and three wins, and opposing batters are hitting .258. Cooper Clark is second in strikeouts (26).
Series History
The two teams have only played twice, both at the Campbell Invitational in 2014. The teams split the two games. Â
Know Your Opponent
Delaware owns a 9-10 record on the season. On Tuesday, the Blue Hens defeated George Washington 18-3 to get back in the win column, having lost four straight before then.
Jake Dunion leads the team from the plate. He's batting .364 with 24 hits. Andrew Amato has the most home runs, with six, and he also leads the team with 19 RBI.
Tyler Strechay, Tyler August and Dough Marose started the games last weekend against Rutgers. Strechay has the best ERA of the three, coming in at 6.75, but last weekend was his first start of the year.
Left-hander Anthony Gubitosi holds down the Blue Hens bullpen. He's allowed only one earned run in 9.1 innings and has a WHIP of 0.75.
Greg Mamula is in his second season leading the Delaware baseball team. He has a 39-39 record. Last year, he led them to their best CAA record (17-13) and their first CAA Tournament appearance since 2018.
Delaware was predicted to finish sixth in the conference this year. Third baseman Joey Loynd was placed on the preseason All-CAA Team, and DH/P Bryce Greenly was named an honorable mention.
Last Time Out
The Fighting Camels are coming off a 15-2 victory over Charleston Southern on Tuesday. Dalen Thompson led the team with seven RBI, and the team has scored 10+ runs in nine of their last 11 games.
Leading The Nation
Knipp leads the nation in home runs (15), RBI (39) and slugging percentage (1.250). He's second in runs (36) and total bases (85). As a team, the Camels are fourth in home runs, eighth in walks, 12th in scoring, eighth in slugging percentage and 18th in on-base percentage.

Campbell is ranked No. 22 in the D1Baseball poll, No. 19 in USA Today Coaches Poll, No. 19 in Perfect Game's top-25 and No. 23 according to Baseball America.
Century Club
The Camels have recorded 100+ doubles, home runs, stolen bases and HBPs in each of the past two seasons. They were the only team to accomplish this feat in either year.
Haire Wins 300
Head Coach Justin Haire recorded his 300th career victory in the Saturday win over Valparaiso. In just over 10 seasons, the Camels have averaged over 30 wins a year during his tenure.
