Campbell travels north to take on #11 Duke

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell Fighting Camels (17-6) will head to Durham to take on #11 Duke (17-7) on Tuesday at Jack Coombs Field.

Lawson Harrill is coming off a strong week for the Camels, hitting .500 with three home runs and six RBI. He drew two walks and was hit-by-pitch four times, compared to only three strikeouts in the four games.

As a team, the Camels rank fifth in the country in home runs, ninth in slugging percentage, 11th in walks, 13th in on-base percentage and 14th in scoring.

Cole Peschl leads the team with 30 strikeouts and a 4.63 ERA to this point in the season. Last Tuesday, he went five innings with no earned runs to earn his first victory of the year. Peschl also leads the team in WHIP, at 1.07 (minimum 10 innings).

Series History

The Camels are 18-28 against the Blue Devils. The teams have split the last four matchups, with Duke winning the two games last season.

Duke is coming off a series defeat on the road to NC State. They won the Sunday matchup, 13-2. The Blue Devils are 11-4 at home this year. They are top-10 in the country in multiple team statistical categories, including: fourth in home runs (56), sixth in fielding percentage (.983), seventh in slugging percentage (.599) and eighth in ERA (3.56).

Ben Miller leads the team at the plate, hitting at a .432 average and slugging .800. Zac Morris leads the team with nine home runs, and AJ Garcia sets the mark with 30 RBI.

Boisvert has made six appearances and one start this year. He's totaled 8.2 innings of work, maintaining a 0.00 ERA and holding opponents to a .111 average.

Chris Pollard is the head coach, totaling 25 years of head coaching experience. He's been at Duke since the 2013 season, leading them to two Super Regionals in 2018 and 2019. The team was picked to finish third in the ACC Coastal Division.

Last Time Out

Campbell fell to Delaware 8-5 Sunday afternoon, as the Blue Hens took the first series of conference play.
