Catcher Grant Knipp leads the team in batting average (.486), hits (17), RBI (17), home runs (7), slugging percentage (1.200) and on base percentage (.648). He has also recorded four stolen bases and two saves.
Sabers leads the Campbell pitching staff with a 5.06 ERA and 16.0 innings pitched in his three starts. Clark has recorded the most strikeouts on staff, with 14.
Series History
This will be the first matchup against Bucknell in Campbell's time in Division I. The two teams previously met in 1971 and 1972. Campbell won the first game, 6-5, and Bucknell won in 1972, 6-15.
Know Your Opponent
The Bison sit at 6-5 on the year and are coming off an 11-2 victory over Le Moyne on Tuesday. They were 1-1 against CAA-member Towson and won three out of four against UMass.
Sean Keys leads the Bison in nearly every hitting category. He is batting at a .514 average with a 1.081 slugging percentage. He leads the team with 19 hits, six doubles and five home runs. He is tied for first on the team in walks (nine) and is second with 14 RBI.
Of their three probable starters, Jake Schultz has the best ERA at 5.56 but has a record of 0-2 and a 1.59 WHIP. Look for Mikey Myro, who has an ERA of 0.79 and an opposing batting average of .186. Myro started on Tuesday in the win against Le Moyne.
Scott Heather leads the Bison in his 12th season, all at Bucknell. He has a 207-286-3 record. His squad was picked second in the Patriot League preseason poll behind the five-time defending champion, Army West Point.
Last Time Out
Campbell dropped a 7-3 decision to #16 North Carolina on Tuesday. The Camels tied the game at 3-apiece in the bottom of the seventh, but UNC scored four runs on six hits in the top of the ninth inning.
