HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Campbell fell in the final game of the series against Hofstra, 12-11, in 10 innings Sunday afternoon at University Field.

Hofstra scored first for the second day in a row, scoring two in the first inning. Both runners came across on an infield single with a throwing error.
The Fighting Camels erupted with six runs in the top of the third, all with two outs. A single, walk, and hit-by-pitch loaded the bases. After the Pride recorded out number two via strikeout, Lawson Harrill laced a two-RBI single through the left side.
The two subsequent pitches were wild pitches, moving Harrill to third and scoring Dylan Koontz. Dalen Thompson drew a walk to put runners at the corners, and Reed Stallman connected on the 1-0 pitch for his 10th home run of the season.
Hofstra plated one in the bottom of the frame with an RBI single to make the score 6-3 in favor of the Camels.
Koontz added another run for the Camels in the top of the fourth, hitting a sac fly to center to score Peyton Bonds. Harrill followed that with the second sac fly of the inning, scoring Braeden O'Shaughnessy.
After falling behind the count, 1-2, Andrew Schuldt drew three straight balls for a bases loaded walk for the third run in the inning.
The Pride added two in the fourth with two more RBI singles. With the bases loaded and two outs, Jackson Roberts came out of the bullpen and forced a weak ground ball to escape any more trouble.
Roberts replaced Nate Brittain on the mound, whose book close with 3.2 innings, five strikeouts, two walks, eight hits and five earned runs.
In the fifth inning, Koontz hit his second sac fly of the afternoon, scoring Bonds from third once again.
A three-run homer by Hofstra's Santino Rosso in the sixth made the score 10-8 in favor of the Camels.
Neither team scored in the seventh and eighth innings, and the teams entered the final frame with Campbell holding onto the two-run lead.
Garret Kangas pitched the eighth inning for the Camels. He retired the side in order with one strikeout on just 10 pitches.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Hofstra scored on a solo home run from Steve Harrington. Alex McCoy was hit by a pitch then stole second. Pinch-hitter Will Kennedy singled into left center to bring home McCoy and tie the game.
