Camels head to Delaware for last CAA Series

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell is heading to Delaware this weekend, May 2-4, for the last CAA series of the season.

LEADING OFF
  • The Camels are 19-5 in conference play, 31-19-1 overall.
  • The Camels won the series against CAA opponent NC A&T this past weekend, only giving up three hits all weekend. 
  • Tyra Parker leads the Camels at the plate with a .363 batting average, with 45 hits and 12 RBIs. There are six other Camels batting over .300 including Alyssa Henault (.355), Lindsay Lumsden (.341), Tristin Doster (.324), Charlie Montgomery (.306), Delaney McDilda (.304) and Allyiah Swiney (.303). 
  • Among starting pitchers, Isabella Smith leads the team with a 1.88 ERA and a 21-6 record. She has pitched 160.1 innings, allowing 43 earned runs and striking out 190.

  • Delaware: Camels lead 4-2, last meeting - 2023. 

SCOUTING DELAWARE
  • The Blue Hens own a 38-9 record overall this season with a 21-3 conference record, recently sweeping Towson. 
  • Campbell will be the ninth CAA team they have faced this season. 
  • Sophomore Sydney Shaffer leads the Blue Hens with a .382 AVG, with 50 hits, three home runs and 32 RBIs.
  • Pitcher Emily Winburn owns a team-best 1.70 ERA, recording 126 strikeouts and allowing 41 earned runs in 168.1 innings.
