BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Sophomore catcher Madison Ford and junior outfielder Charlie Montgomery were each named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, the group announced.
Ford, a native of Melbourne, Fla., started 46 games for the Camels this year and batted .306. She was fourth on the team in both RBI (30) and on-base percentage (.441). She is majoring in business and is carrying a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Another Florida native from Wesley Chapel, Montgomery earned the honor for the second-straight season. She was a mainstay in the Camel outfield, starting all 57 games this year. Her .335 average and 65 hits ranked second on the team, and she was 17-19 in her stolen base attempts. She holds a 3.87 GPA and is working towards her Exercise Science major.
