Campbell and East Carolina play to 0-0 draw

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Campbell women's soccer (1-1-2) played East Carolina (2-0-1) to a 0-0 draw at Johnson Stadium Sunday night.

The first 25 minutes passed without much incident. ECU recorded the first three shots of the game, but only put one on frame that was an easy save for Sierra Vance.

Campbell's first shot on goal came in the 39th minute, when Riley Terrill set up for a free kick and took at chance at goal. The effort was on target, and it forced a jumping save from Kayce Taylor.

With 20 minutes left in the second half, East Carolina had a 12-2 shot advantage, but had only put three on frame. Vance proved up to the task, keeping it a 0-0 draw.

Vance continued to stay strong in goal with two more saves in the following three minutes. She ended the game with five saves, the most in a game this season for the Camels.

Through the final 15 minutes, ECU continually put pressure on the Camels defense, but were unable to create solid chances on goal.

Campbell created on last chance in the final 10 seconds, as Ava Kanaar rushed down the sideline and attempted a cross into the box, but it was cleared back for a corner kick, and the time ran out.
