WANDA WATKINS & ALUMNI DAY
- Campbell women's basketball is excited to honor legendary former head coach Wanda Watkins along with several program alumni
- A Big South and Campbell University Hall of Fame coach and administrator, Watkins spent 37 years coaching at Campbell, including 35 seasons as women's basketball head coach before retiring after the 2015-16 season, winning 549 games before serving in athletics administration for the last eight years
- She retired from coaching as the 29th-winningest head coach in NCAA Division I women's basketball at 549-443, one of 14 active coaches in Division I to serve 30-plus years at the same institution, all while graduating more than 95 percent of her student-athletes along the way
- Watkins became the Fighting Camels' first female scholarship athlete when she enrolled at Campbell College in the fall of 1975 and played both basketball and softball. Over the last 48-plus years, she has witnessed the growth of the institution to university status, the athletic program's move from the NAIA to the NCAA Division I level and the emergence of women's athletics on the national and world stage
- She finished her 35-year tenure with 10 Division I conference championship game appearances (six in the Big South and four in the ASUN) and won two tournament titles. Her 2000 squad clinched the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament berth after winning the ASUN championship and advanced to play at Duke in March Madness
- She has served as Senior Associate AD and Senior Woman Administrator since September 2016, while also taking on Interim Athletics Director responsibilities from January through June of 2019. In addition, she has been a regular color analyst on Campbell women's basketball broadcasts on ESPN+ and FloCollege
- Watkins officially retired from Campbell athletics on May 31, 2024
A PROGRAM BUILT ON DEFENSE
- Campbell is the only program in the nation to be ranked in the top-25 in scoring defense in each of the past eight seasons
- In the Ronny Fisher era (since 2016-17) Campbell has held 42 opponents to 40 points or less and 107 opponents to 50 points or less

- Charleston pulled away late as Campbell fell 78-63 last Sunday at TD Arena
- The Cougars shot 51.0 percent (26-of-51) overall and ended the game on a 12-2 run
- Hadleigh Dill scored a career-high 15 points off of five three-pointers while Ciara Alexander finished in double-figures for a fifth-straight game with 11 points. Gemma Nunez added seven points and dished out nine assists for a second-straight game.

- Sophomore guard Hadleigh Dill has made 8-of-12 threes to open up CAA play in games against UNCW and Charleston
- Dill scored 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting from three off the bench at UNCW and scored a career-best 15 points behind 5-of-8 shooting from three at Charleston
- On the season Dill is shooting 32.7 percent (18-of-55) from three

- Olivia Tucker ranks 2nd on the team averaging 9.9 points per game and has had two 20+ point outings (24 vs ETSU, 20 at Miami)
- Jasmine Felton is averaging 7.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals while shooting 55.6 percent from the field

- Gemma Nunez is currently averaging 7.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists
- The do-it-all junior guard ranks 22nd nationally and 1st in the CAA averaging 5.6 assists overall and 87th nationally and 3rd in the CAA averaging 2.3 steals
- Additionally, Nunez ranks 90th nationally and 1st in the CAA with a 1.84 assist-to-turnover ratio
- Nunez has dished out 10 assists twice in games vs. High Point and Miami and scored a career-best 15 pts at Western Carolina
- She opened up CAA play with 9 assists at both UNCW and Charleston
BOARD WORK FOR FULLER
- Senior guard Audrey Fuller has set multiple career-highs in rebounding so far this season
- The Brisbane, Australia native tied her career-high with 9 boards against Mount Olive in the season opener and set new career-bests with 10 rebounds against High Point and then 11 rebounds against ETSU
- Fuller secured her first career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 12 boards against Purdue Fort Wayne
- Fuller leads the Camels averaging 6.0 boards per game
DAHLQUIST FROM DEEP
- Senior forward Courtney Dahlquist leads the Camels with 26 threes
- Dahlquist has scored in double-figures seven of her past 13 outings including pouring in a career-high 17 points behind 5 threes in the win over ETSU
HEAD COACH RONNY FISHER
- A three-time Big South Coach of the Year, Ronny Fisher enters his ninth season at the helm of Campbell women's basketball and 17th as a head coach overall
- Over the previous eight seasons, Campbell has won 152 games for an average of 19 wins per season (152-90)
- Fisher enters the 2024-25 season with 249 career wins (249-234), which ranks 2nd most amongst active CAA coaches trailing only Charleston's Robin Harmony with 317 wins (317-183)
- Under Fisher, the Camels claimed the 2019-20 and 2021-22 Big South regular season titles and finished as Big South tournament runners-up in 2019, 2021 and 2022
- Fisher has also led Campbell to its first-ever WNIT berth in 2021-22 along with two other postseason appearances in the WBI. He helped the Camels claim their first ever postseason win in the 2019 WBI
