BUIES CREEK – Campbell women's soccer returns home to Eakes Athletics Complex on Thursday, hosting William & Mary for Breast Cancer Awareness night. The Camels will then welcome Elon on Sunday with kickoff set for 1 p.m. Both matches are scheduled to stream on FloCollege.
The Camels picked up its first CAA victory of the season, defeating Hampton, 2-0, to move to 3-4-3 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play.

- Isa Murdock and Gabby Hoschek tie for team lead with four goals each. Murdock and Ashlee Brehio each have four assists.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Camels picked up its first CAA victory of the season, defeating Hampton, 2-0 in Norfolk.
- Ella Wineka got the scoring going early off an almost full field pass from Abby Connolly for her first career goal.
- Connolly then connected with Zahra Fepessi off a corner kick header to extend the Camels lead.
- Connolly registered a pair of assists marking the first Camel to do so since August 18 of last season.
FEPESSI FILES
- Junior Zahra Fepessi has made her mark for the Camels this season. Fepessi earned her first start of the season against Stony Brook where she would record her first collegiate goal.
- Since then, she has started the following two games for the Camels.
- Fepessi registered her second goal of the season against Hampton, tying her for team lead in goals.
- Fepessi has taken just two shots on the season, and both have found the back of the net for a perfect shot on goal percentage.
GARRISON GOALS
- Sophomore Gillian Garrison ties Fepessi with a pair of goals on the season.
- Garrison netted her first goal of the season against Radford, which marked her first career goal.
- She tallied a career high three shots at Queens and a career high two shots on goal against #24 Virginia Tech.
- Garrison is just one of two Camels to start all ten games this season.
- She logged a career-high 73 minutes played against Coastal Carolina.
CLEAN SHEETS
- JLo Varada earned her first start of the season against Hampton on Sept. 28. She secured the shutout victory for the Camels making it the team's second of the season and the fourth overall shutout. Varada's shutout is the first of the season and seventh career clean sheet.
- Anais van Doesburg made just her second and third career starts in the first two matches of the season. posting back-to-back shutouts. The last time the Camels posted back-to-back shutouts to open the season was in 2011. The Camels picked up a 5-0 win over Delaware to open the season and 2-0 win over UMBC in game two. van Doesburg now has three shutouts this season which is good for third most in the conference.
HOLDING IT DOWN
- Defenders Natalie Jamison and Kira Moore has been a steady presence of the Camels' backline. Besides goalkeeper minutes, they lead the Camels with 693 and 705 minutes played, respectively. Jamison has tallied one assists on the season and is just one of two Camels to have started in all ten games this season. Moore logged her first full game of the season playing a season-high 90 minutes against Coastal Carolina (9/4).
PRESEASON RECOGNITION
- Sophomore defender Caitlyn Boucher was tabbed preseason All-CAA honorable mention. Boucher earns her first career honor after appearing in 18 matches last season. The defender made 16 starts tallying 1,051 minutes for sixth on the team. She recorded one shot on goal.
WHAT THE POLLS SAY
- Campbell was picked to finish fifth in the South division with 34 total points. Elon was picked to finish first in the division with nine first place votes followed by Charleston (54) and William & Mary (41). Charleston received one first place vote and William & Mary received two. UNCW was two points ahead of the Camels as they were picked to finish fourth. Hampton rounded out its half of the poll with 17 points.
