WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW scored three second-half goals on way to a 3-2 win over Campbell, Saturday night at UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Camels fell to 7-4-4, dropping their first conference match of the season (3-1-2 CAA). The Seahawks (4-6-2, 3-3) ended a three-game skid by scoring three unanswered goals in the second half.

Marco Wright put CU ahead with two goals of his own, doubling his goal output on the season. He found the net in the 13
th and 51
st minutes to give the Camels a 2-0 advantage.

UNCW's Christian Acevedo answered with a brace of his own to tie the game, scoring in the 58
th and 63
rd minutes.

Ethan Newsome secured the game-winning goal for the Seahawks, finding the back of the net in the 87
th minute.

UNCW held the advantage on all the offensive stats, outshooting the Camels 16-9 in addition to creating nine corner kick opportunities against CU's zero.

The two teams played a physical 90 minutes as well. The Camels were called for 16 fouls against UNCW's 15, but the Seahawks were shown nine yellow cards to Campbell's three.

The Camels maintained their spot in second place in the division and are still two points ahead of UNCW in third while trailing Elon by one.
