BUIES CREEK – Campbell completed the weekend sweep of Hampton with a straight-set victory Saturday afternoon.
The win gets Campbell to 14-5, 6-2 in the CAA after four straight wins. Campbell also remains unbeaten all-time against Hampton at 17-0 all-time.
Wolkow continued her big weekend with a match-high 13 kills on .385 hitting. She was joined in double figures by
Victoria Tupy's 10 kills on .600 hitting.
Hampton kept things closer all three sets today than yesterday, and pushed the first set to 21-21. A pair of kills from Wolkow earned the Camels some space and take the set 25-21.
The Camels trailed for the first time all weekend early in the second set, but rallied for what turned out to be the largest set win of the day at 25-16.
Campbell closed out the weekend with a 25-21 third set. The Camels hit .423 in the final set with four kills from both Wolkow and Tupy in the final frame.
Hannah Pattie guided the offense with 22 assists, while
Bella Illig led all players with 10 digs.
The Camels return to action next weekend at Stony Brook. First serve is set for 3pm on Friday and 1 o'clock on Saturday.
