BUIES CREEK — Campbell women's soccer fell, 2-1, to Drexel Sunday afternoon on Alumni Day at Eakes Athletics Complex.
Campbell falls to 4-7-4 overall and 2-4-2 in conference action while Drexel moves to 3-6-8 and 2-4-2 in CAA play.
Drexel struck first in the fourth minute of the match off a corner kick to take a 1-0 lead. Elise Duffy set up for the corner and found Reese Power who headed the ball into the net.
The Camels would respond just under a minute later off a corner of its own. Abby Connolly took the corner and lobbed it into Natalie Jamison who then found Ava Kanaar for the score. The goal marks Kanaar's fourth of the season.
The Dragons countered with a goal in the 17th minute as its all it would need for the victory and the final score, 2-1.
The second half saw a combined nine shots as the Camels took six but failed to find the equalizer.
Connolly and Mia Fairchild each took a pair of shots each as the Camels only took 10 on the match. Three of those shots were on frame.
Campbell tied its season high with nine corner kicks.

Campbell wraps up the regular season at home against UNCW on Sunday, Oct. 26. Kick off is set for 1 p.m. at Eakes Athletics Complex and will be streamed on FloCollege. The first 250 fans will receive a rally towel.
