NC A&T defeats Camels 28-24

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Elijah Kennedy returned a pair of fourth quarter kicks for touchdowns, pushing North Carolina A&T past visiting Campbell 28-24 on Saturday at Truist Stadium.

The Aggies (2-6, 2-2 CAA) trailed 21-7 with 13:12 on the clock in the fourth quarter after Kamden Sixkiller's nine-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Wilson gave Campbell (2-7, 2-3 CAA) a two score lead, but NC A&T's three fourth quarter TDs, including a punt return and a kick return from Kennedy lifted the Aggies over the Camels.

Kevin White's three-yard keeper at the 9:37 mark capped a seven-play, 86-yard drive to answer for the Aggies. After a six-play drive stalled for the Camels, Aiden Bonde's punt went to the A&T four yard line, but Kennedy's 96-yard return knotted the game at 21-all with 6:12 to play.

Campbell responded with a 12-play march to the A&T 21, draining 4:23 of clock, with Alex Crabb giving the Camels the lead with a 38-yard field goal at the 1:49 remaining.

Kennedy, however, took the ensuing kickoff 85 yards for his second TD of the day, putting the Aggies on top 28-24. Campbell moved the ball into Aggie territory in just three plays, but Sixkiller's fourth down throw fell incomplete, with the CU drive stalling at the 44 yard line.

Kennedy amassed 201 total return yards in the win, adding four catches for 27 yards. White completed 12-of-20 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown, adding another score on the ground, while Wesley Graves rushed for 73 yards on 14 carries. Jayvonne Dillard also tacked on three catches for 72 yards for the Aggies.

Joshua Iseah led NC A&T defensively with a game-high 11 tackles, while Tre Mittman posted 10 stops.

Sixkiller led Campbell with 255 yards passing, completing 27-of-44 throws with two touchdowns and an interception, connecting with Randall King 10 times for 71 yards in the sophomore's return to action. Mike Chandler II added 65 yards receiving on seven catches to go along with 57 yards on 3-of-4 passing.

Logan Livermon notched nine tackles for the Camels, with DeVonyae Pettis posting five tackles, including 2.0 stops for loss.

Next week, the Camels will finally reach their bye week before playing their last pair of home dates, a November 8 matchup with William & Mary (2:00 p.m.) and a November 15 home finale game against in-state foe Elon (2:00 p.m.). Campbell will close out the 2025 season at Towson on November 22.
